This is a suit by an employee of the Panama Canal, who worked on floating equipment, to recover overtime compensation at the rate of time and one-half for hours of work in excess of 40 hours per week. The claim is based on Section 23 of the Act of March 28, 1934, 48 Stat. 522, 5 U.S.C.A. § 673c.

The plaintiff's situation is substantially identical with that of Townsley who was given a judgment...
