Respondent has determined a deficiency of $5,124.13 for the calendar year 1941. The question presented is whether an indebtedness due the petitioners in the sum of $11,500, and evidenced by notes in that amount, became worthless in the year 1941. The case was submitted upon oral testimony and exhibits.
