Memorandum Findings of Fact and Opinion

This proceeding involves a redetermination of a deficiency in income tax for the taxable year 1941, in the amount of $1,846.59. Only that part of the deficiency which relates to the disallowance by the respondent of a loss claimed by petitioner to have been incurred by him upon a sale of certain Chase National Bank stock is in controversy.
