This is a libel in admiralty for maintenance and cure brought by Levi J. Muise against James L. Abbott, part owner of the schooner American.

On or about April 6, 1943, the libellant was a member of the crew of said schooner, which was tied up for unloading at the Slade-Gorton Plant in East Gloucester, Massachusetts.
