Loeb Co., Inc., the plaintiff, filed a civil action against the Avoyelles Drainage District No. 8 of the Parish of Avoyelles, Louisiana, defendant, alleging that it is the owner of some sixteen (16) bonds issued by the defendant, each in the principal sum of $500, which were past due and unpaid at the time of the suit.
