This suit was originally brought to set aside an order of the Interstate Commerce Commission which required the plaintiffs to reduce their rates for the transportation of scrap iron in carload lots from South Bend, Indiana, to Mansfield, Ohio; from Hastings, Michigan, to Massillon, Ohio, and from Lansing, Michigan, to Sandusky, Ohio, to "70% of the basic scale of rates on iron and steel articles."
