This is a suit by the plaintiff, a cargo owner, against the defendant, a cargo underwriter, to recover freight charges of $39,249.58 paid by plaintiff for transportation by railroad to Bayonne, New Jersey, of cargo discharged at New Orleans from three Brazilian vessels. The cargo consisted of 44,967 bags of castor beans loaded at various ports in Brazil aboard the vessels Commandante Pessoa, Lesteloide and Jaboatao in February, March and May...
