These two suits in admiralty, arising out of a collision in New York bay in the vicinity of Robbins Reef, were tried together. At the end of the trial I expressed the view that both the tug "Calatco No. 2" and the M/V "Julius H. Barnes" were at fault and that the damages should be divided. There was no fault on the part of the barge. The M/V "Barnes" sustained damage to her plates and deck when her port side, a little forward of midship, came...
