This is a consolidated proceeding involving deficiencies in income tax for the calendar year 1939 determined against Harry Kanelos and Aristidis Radopolis in the respective amounts of $4,651.96 and $4,610.96. With respect to each petitioner, respondent disallowed claimed deductions of $10,109 representing two identical items of expenditure of $9,000 and $1,109, each.
