This is a suit in admiralty brought on behalf of the owners of cargo of the Norwegian Steamship Iristo to recover from the sub-charterer of the ship the total loss of the cargo caused by stranding on a reef off the northwest coast of Bermuda. The master mistook a wrecked steamship for a vessel under way, began to navigate in respect to her and thus got out of his course and ran on the reef...
