George DeVine, a veteran of the first world war, was the holder of a war risk insurance policy in the sum of $10,000 issued by the United States under authority of the World War Veterans' Act, 38 U.S. C.A. §§ 421, 511 et seq. The premiums on the policy were paid and the insurance kept in force until the last day of May 1919, and adding the period of grace it continued in effect until June...
