Charles Schoen died as the result of injuries received when he was struck by an automobile which was being used by Nelson Stewart to deliver Western Union telegrams in Coral Gables, Florida. Matilda Schoen, widow of Charles Schoen, filed action against Western Union Telegraph Company to recover damages for the death of her husband. A jury trial resulted in a verdict for the defendant.
