This appeal challenges a decision of the Supreme Court of Michigan, which upheld the constitutionality of Michigan statutes1 extinguishing unmatured special assessments, tax liens or other encumbrances on land sold for tax delinquency, and which therefore refused a writ of mandamus to compel the City of Birmingham to levy an additional special assessment on land so sold, to pay defaulted...
