Henry Barton was issued a policy of war risk insurance during his military service in 1918. In 1925, he converted it into a twenty-year endowment policy of Government life insurance in the amount of $5,000. This contract was kept in force until January 1, 1936, when Barton claimed to have become totally and permanently disabled.
