The relator is an alien who arrived in New York in 1924 as a temporary visitor for thirty days but remained unlawfully until 1937, during which time he contracted a common law marriage and became the father of a child. In 1937 he went to Havana, obtained an immigration visa, and legally reentered the United States for permanent residence.
