September 27, 1933, appellant Nordstrom filed an application for patent, serial No. 691,213, in the United States Patent Office entitled "For Valves." The examiner allowed a number of claims but denied others, and still others were cancelled. Nordstrom appealed to the Board of Appeals respecting certain claims denied by the examiner.
