The United States of America, pursuant to R.S. § 3450, 26 U.S.C.A. § 1441, instituted a libel proceeding against an automobile alleged to have been used by one Irvin Hobgood in the removal and concealment of whiskey, with intent to defraud the government of taxes. In due time, one Ammanell Martin, claiming to be the owner of the car, filed an intervening petition opposing its forfeiture. In an amendment to her petition, she denied that...
