The steamship Quarrington Court sank in the Red Sea on December 7, 1937, with all her cargo. On or about May 17, 1938, the cargo owners and underwriters brought suit in admiralty in the Southern District of New York against Court Line, the owner, and Isthmian Steamship Company, the time charterer, to recover $439,587.41 for loss of cargo.
