The plaintiff Eldridge suffered personal injuries while he was in the performance of his duties as a government sub-inspector upon certain revetment work being done under government contract by defendant McGeorge along the banks of the Mississippi river near Helena, Arkansas. He brought this action for damages for negligence against the contractor and on the trial of the case the jury returned a verdict for the defendant. The plaintiff appeals...
