The patent involved in the present infringement suit is No. 1,822,679, to Stewart and Lilja, granted September 8, 1931. It relates to an induction motor of fractional horse power of the shading ring core type for use with alternating current. Infringement not being denied, validity is the sole issue. The court below found the patent anticipated and dismissed the bill.
