The suit was against the Mayor and the Superintendent of Police of the City of New Orleans for an injunction. The complaint was that thirty-five automatic candy venders, which plaintiff had manufactured and consigned to itself in New Orleans, had been seized and confiscated by the defendants as gambling devices under the purported authority of Act No. 231 of 1928;1 that they were threatening to continue to seize...
