This is an appeal from a judgment rendered in an action for wrongful death brought under the provisions of section 688, title 46, U.S.C., 46 U.S.C.A. § 6881. The jury found for the plaintiff.

The principal assignment of error is that the District Court erred in refusing to direct a verdict for the defendant.
