This is an action of assumpsit in which a jury trial has been waived. The plaintiff seeks to recover the principal and interest of $196,600 face amount of street improvement bonds held by it which were issued by the defendant, the City of Chester, in good faith at various times between November 6, 1923, and March 2, 1931, pursuant to ordinances regularly adopted under statutory authority.
