These patents deal with a speed governing device installed in the conduit between the carburetor and the engine, of automobiles, buses, tractors, etc.

The intake stroke of the piston in the interior combustion gas engine cylinder creates suction in the manifold above the carburetor; into that conduit there is introduced a valve or gate, which is held in place by a shaft the ends of which are so engaged at the interior of the conduit...
