This is an appeal from an order dismissing a writ of habeas corpus, issued to review an order of the Secretary of Labor deporting the relator, an alien. He came to this country, a child of ten, in 1920, and has never been naturalized. In 1929 he was indicted for robbery in New Jersey, and pleaded "non vult" — the equivalent in that state of the common-law plea of "nolo contendere". He was then sentenced to an indeterminate term, and served for eighteen...
