Mrs. Eunice Piper (by a subsequent marriage now Eunice Hicks) sued the Sovereign Camp of the Woodmen of the World, a fraternal benefit society incorporated in Nebraska, upon two participating insurance certificates for $2,000 each issued in March, 1934, to her then husband in which she was named beneficiary. The suit was removed from the state court and tried by the District Judge on a waiver of jury. He made special findings of fact and conclusions...
