This is an action brought in the federal District Court of Puerto Rico to recover certain taxes paid by the plaintiffs, which had been assessed on raw sugar in the possession of the plaintiffs.

The plaintiffs are residents and citizens of the United States and sue in their capacity as trustees of the Eastern Sugar Associates, a trust created by a declaration of trust entered into in Baltimore...
