The issues in these two cases are the same. According to the allegations of the petitions, the Federal Land Bank of New Orleans (hereafter called the Land Bank) was the owner of certain lands, and on August 8, 1934, executed a single mineral lease covering all of the tracts involved in both cases to the Tepetate Oil Company which in turn assigned it to the defendant Continental Oil Company (hereafter called Continental).
