Plaintiff, the Buffalo Brake Beam Company, on July 1, 1926, acquired by purchase all the issued and outstanding stock, both common and preferred, of the Acme Steel & Malleable Iron Works, Inc., another corporation, and they thus became affiliated corporations under section 240 (d) of the Revenue Act of 1926 (44 Stat 46), and remained so throughout the remainder of the taxable year 1926.
