In this case there is no controversy as to the facts. On or about March 9, 1935, the petitioner was arrested and thereafter charged by information in the superior court of the state of Washington for Franklin county with grand larceny in two counts committed prior to January 2, 1934, and on June 11, 1935, was convicted by a jury of the crimes charged in the information.
