The petitioner was charged in the superior court of the state of Washington for Spokane county with the crime of grand larceny, committed on April 16, 1935. On September 21, 1935, he was convicted and sentenced to the penitentiary for fifteen years. No minimum sentence was fixed by the court as provided by section 2281, Rem.
