James Angus filed a libel in the United States District Court for the Eastern District of New York to recover the sum of $25,000, damages alleged to have been sustained by him through the negligence of the steamtug Authentic. The Tice Towing Line, Inc., as charterer and operator of said steamtug, subsequently petitioned this court for a limitation of liability. Angus, the only claimant, being stayed from prosecuting his libel, filed an answer...
