This litigation arises from a collision on Lake Huron, about 3.30 a. m., November 21, 1934, between the steamers Edward E. Loomis and W. C. Franz, which resulted in damage to the former and the total loss of the latter. Four members of the crew of the Franz were drowned and others suffered injury and loss of personal effects.
