In a jury-waived case, the City of Blackwell recovered a judgment for $15,000 on account of the pollution of the Chikaskia River which destroyed its water supply. Appellant and several other oil companies in 1925 and 1926 brought in numerous oil wells in the Otstot Field; much salt water was produced which was stored in ponds from which it seeped into the river above the waterworks.
