This is an appeal from a decree in favor of libelant in a suit in admiralty instituted against the steamship State of Maryland to recover damages on account of personal injuries. Libelant was an inexperienced youth employed as a fireman on the vessel. He was seriously burned about two months after his employment as the result of an explosion in the oil burning equipment, which it was his duty to operate. He alleges that the explosion occurred...
