This is a libel to recover for damage to the scow Chippewa while under charter to the respondent in January, 1930. The libelant is an insurance company, which insured the owners of the scow against loss, and in February, 1930, the libelant paid the owners $1,336.24 in full settlement of their claim, taking at the time an assignment of the owners' claim against the respondent.
