After the appellees, who were relators in the court below, had in that court recovered judgment in the sum of $184,348 against the board of commissioners of Everglades drainage district, the governing body of that drainage district, which was created by chapter 6456, Laws of Florida, Acts of 1913, on bonds and coupons issued by that district, they applied for and obtained an alternative writ of mandamus directed to the appellant, the treasurer...
