The 1934 February afternoon grand jury investigated the circumstances concerning the bankruptcy of a partnership known as Weinstein & Sons. Jacob, Max, and Samuel Weinstein, three partners in this firm, had been indicted on October 16, 1933, for the concealment and conspiracy to conceal from the receiver in bankruptcy about $50,000 worth of the assets of the firm. A superseding indictment was found against them by the 1934 February afternoon...
