The Jefferson Standard Life Insurance Company issued a policy of insurance for $4,000, effective August 23, 1930, in compliance with a written application of that date, on the life of Alberta B. Stevenson. The insured died in May, 1931, within the contestable period, of tuberculosis. Her husband, the beneficiary named in the policy, brought suit upon it.
