September 11, 1922, one Albert Weingaertner filed application in the Patent Office of the United States for a patent upon a weather strip for windows. The specification recited that:

"This invention relates to improvements in weather-strips and particularly to weather-strips intended for use on a window having a pair of vertically movable window sashes provided with horizontal meeting rails, said weather-strip being intended...
