This is an appeal from a judgment for the United States in an action brought by appellant, plaintiff in the District Court and herein called the plaintiff, on a contract of war risk insurance. At the trial the sole issue was whether the insured (the plaintiff, his mother, sued as administratrix of his estate and also as beneficiary) was totally and permanently disabled from arthritis on September 27, 1919, the date of his discharge from the Navy...
