The referee denied priority of payment to petitioner's claim for about three months' rent due by the bankrupt which accrued immediately preceding the filing of the petition, but the same was allowed as an unsecured claim. The ruling of the referee reverses the practice in this state, since the adoption of the present Bankruptcy Act in 1898 (11 USCA), which has been to give priority to rent claims of this character, under a law enacted by the...
