By Act of April 11, 1928 (chapter 356, 45 Stat. 422), Congress provided for the sale of certain unappropriated public alluvial lands of the United States lying between Glasscock Island and fractional section 14, township 5 north, range 4 west, of the Washington meridian, in the state of Mississippi.
