About 1:30 a. m. on January 18, 1928, Coast Guard patrol boat 204 seized the British motor ship Standard Coaster with a cargo of 5,140 cases of intoxicating liquor approximately half a mile off Wards Island Point, Staten Island, N. Y. She was running without lights, and when hailed by the boatswain of the Coast Guard patrol boat continued under way so that the officers on the Coast Guard boat were obliged...
