This is an action in assumpsit brought by the Anthracite Trust Company, Jane H. Connell, and E. E. Connell, executors of the estate of Alfred E. Connell, deceased, against David W. Phillips, collector of internal revenue for the Twelfth district of Pennsylvania, to recover the sum of $8,729.76, with interest, the amount of taxes assessed on the proceeds of certain insurance policies insuring the life of Alfred E. Connell, which tax was paid...
