Appellants were jointly indicted in the District Court of the United States for the District of North Dakota for the unlawful transportation of whisky and alcohol. One Ed Madison was also named as an aider and abettor. The trial resulted in the conviction of appellants and a mistrial as to Madison. Norris was sentenced to pay a fine of $5,000 and to be imprisoned for a period of five years;...
