In July, 1929, the department of public works of Washington made an order, after legal hearing, directing payment, as provided by Rem. Comp. Stat. § 10436, of sums in excess of a given amount, overcharge paid for transportation of logs between given points in the state of Washington. The defendant thereupon sought review before the proper court of the state, and upon hearing the finding of the department was reversed. Appeal was prosecuted...
