These cases were consolidated on appeal. They are actions brought by the father, Charles A. Cole, to recover for the loss of two minor daughters who were killed in the crossing accident at the same time their mother was seriously injured. The facts are stated in the opinion of this court on an appeal from a judgment rendered in favor of the mother entitled Spokane, Portland & Seattle Railway Co. v. Cole, 40 F.2d 172
