Plaintiff brings this suit to recover certain sums specified in the petition paid at different times on its taxes for 1920, 1921, 1923, and 1924, alleged to have been collected by the defendant in excess of the amount legally due. The issue in the case is whether the plaintiff is entitled to deductions from gross income for the years in controversy on account of payments made for a certain contract with one Christensen, to which reference will hereinafter...
