Appellee, Ayer & Lord Tie Company, brought a libel to recover $1,661.62 and interest, claimed as a balance due for work done and materials furnished in the repair of the ferryboat "Ky-Ill." Muscovalley, the owner, gave bond for its release, and in his answer denied liability.
